Meet Pastor Jay Grave

Pastor Jay began his ministry with the people of Hosanna Lutheran in June of 2017, having served congregations as an ordained pastor in Texas, Minnesota, and Missouri; before that he served as the director of youth ministry for five years, in Minnesota. His passion for leadership and his flair for translating deep theological concepts into practical vocabulary allow him to speak into the lives of people whether he is in the pulpit or in the grocery store.

Pastor Jay was ordained in 2005. He is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He did his undergraduate work at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. In 2016, Pastor Jay became the Rev. Dr. Jay after completing a doctorate in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His Midwest upbringing and a well-traveled life have shaped Pastor Jay into an approachable and relevant husband, father, and pastor in his forties, who could pass for his thirties, and sometimes acts like he is in his teens.

Pastor Jay is married to Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a native Texan and talented homemaker who takes the role of Pastor’s wife to new heights rocking her high heels. Spend just a little time with Elizabeth and you will see that she is truly a “jane of all trades.”

Jay and Elizabeth have two daughters, Isabelle and Ilsa, who keep them super busy and loving every minute of it! In December 2017 their newest addition, Thorin Alexander arrived, and blessed them tremendously! As a family they enjoy traveling, good food, and live music.

Marilyn Boudreaux

Preschool Director

Marilyn has worked in early childhood education for 22 years, the last 18 at Hosanna Christian Preschool and First Christian, prior to Hosanna taking over the facility. Marilyn became the Director of Hosanna Christian Preschool 10 years ago and has led the Hosanna Christian Preschool program since.
Marilyn was awarded a Childhood Development Associate (CDA) credential: The Council for Professional Recognition in Washington DC awards credentials to early childhood educators who demonstrate the ability to constructively work with young children in group settings.
Marilyn works tirelessly to promote HCP, and improve the educational development of our preschool students, and faculty.
Marilyn is married, and has 2 children, Amanda, & Katheryn; and 2 grandchildren.
Marilyn has been married to Gilford Boudreaux for 42 years, and they have resided in St Tammany for 23 years, and Marilyn grew up in the New Orleans area.
